Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 October 2026
This policy explains how Aipresso Limited ("we", "us"), the company behind Verbll, handles personal data on www.verbll.com. We are the data controller. Aipresso Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16218778. Registered office: Unit 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Lytchett Matravers, Poole, England, BH16 6FA. We are based in the United Kingdom and follow the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
1. What we collect
- Waitlist form: your first name, last name (optional), your email address and the use case you type. You choose what to write.
- Email check: we send a 6-digit code to your address, and we record the time you enter it. Until you enter it, you are not on the list.
- Proof of consent: when you tick the boxes and join, we record the time, your IP address, your browser details, and the version of our Terms and Privacy Policy you agreed to. We keep this so we can show that you consented.
- Technical data: we do not keep web server access logs. To stop automated abuse, the site holds your IP address in memory for up to one hour to count sign-up attempts, then it is gone. Our hosting provider may process your IP address to deliver pages.
- Messages to us: anything you send when you email us, and our replies.
Please do not put sensitive information in the use case box, such as health, political, religious or financial details about yourself or others.
2. Why we use it and our lawful basis
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| To add you to the waitlist and email you about the launch of Verbll and your early access | Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR, and PECR for email) |
| To understand which use cases people want, in aggregate, so we can plan the product | Your consent, and our legitimate interest in building a useful product |
| To secure the site, limit repeat sign-ups and prevent abuse | Our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) |
| To keep a record that you agreed to our terms and to launch emails, and to defend legal claims | Our legitimate interests and legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c) and (f)) |
| To answer your messages and requests | Our legitimate interests, and legal obligations where they apply |
You can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing does not affect what we did before.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use it for advertising or for tracking you across other sites.
- We do not make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similar effects.
4. Where your data is kept and who handles it
Your waitlist details are stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the London region (eu-west-2), in a database table and in our identity service (Amazon Cognito). The identity service holds your email address and name so that we can invite you when the product opens, and a random password that nobody sees. The code email is sent from support@verbll.com through Amazon Simple Email Service (SES), also in London. AWS (Cognito, DynamoDB and SES) acts as our processor under its data processing terms. Our domain name is managed by GoDaddy, which handles domain name lookups and not the content of the site.
We share personal data only with these processors, with advisers bound by confidentiality, with authorities when the law requires it, and with a buyer or investor of the business if our business changes hands, who must honour this policy. If personal data is ever transferred outside the United Kingdom, we use a safeguard that UK law recognises, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
5. How long we keep it
Not confirmed: if you do not enter the code, your sign-up is deleted automatically after 7 days. The matching identity record is removed in a weekly clean-up, so within 14 days at most.
Confirmed: we keep waitlist details until you ask us to remove them, or until 24 months after the product launches, whichever is sooner. Proof of consent (time, IP address, browser details and policy version) is kept with your record and deleted with it. We may keep a minimal record longer where needed to defend a legal claim. IP addresses used for rate limiting are kept for up to one hour. Emails to us are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and for our records.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent. To use any right, or to leave the waitlist, email support@verbll.com. We reply within one month. We may need to check who you are before we act.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
7. Security
All traffic to the site uses HTTPS. Data is held in access-controlled cloud services, access is limited to people who need it, and sign-ups are rate-limited. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.
8. Children
Verbll is for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has joined the waitlist, email us and we will delete it.
9. Your region
United Kingdom and European Economic Area (EEA). The rights in section 6 apply to you under the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (UK) or to your local data protection authority in the EEA. Where we send EEA or UK data to a country without an adequacy decision, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK Addendum.
United States. We collect the identifiers (name, email) and the use case you give us, only for the purposes in section 2. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and other states with privacy laws may ask us to tell them what we hold, to correct it or to delete it, and we will not treat them worse for asking. Email us to make a request, and we will verify it using the email address you used to join. You may appoint an authorised agent to act for you. Our marketing emails will include an unsubscribe link and our contact details, as the CAN-SPAM Act requires.
India. For people in India, we handle personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We ask for your consent in clear terms, we use the data only for the purposes above, and you may withdraw consent as easily as you gave it. You may ask for a summary of your data, ask us to correct or erase it, and nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or cannot act. To raise a grievance, email support@verbll.com with "Grievance" in the subject. We reply within 30 days. If we have not resolved it, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Elsewhere. If your country gives you other rights over your personal data, tell us and we will follow them where the law applies to us.
